Too little, and far too late. I recently signed up to the paid version of the app, and have just cancelled my subscription. They won't be able to use any of my cash next year to campaign against women's sex based rights and child safeguarding.

Sniggering stealth attacks on women are about 50% of what trans activism consists of and increasingly, everyone sees it.

I used Duolingo several years ago to supplement the French classes I was taking at school. As I went along, I noticed there were often same sex couples illustrated whenever the lesson was about parents and children. It seemed like more than the percentage of same sex couples out in the world so I started keeping track. Every illustration of a parent couple was a same sex couple, usually a pair of men.

I detest manipulation of this sort, using a teaching tool or a learning environment to teach more than the intended subject. I left a review calling out this behavior and deleted the app.
